Welcome to Walk and Talk, a community dedicated to providing a safe space for individuals experiencing mental health challenges to connect, share, and find solace through walks in nature. While we strive to create a supportive environment for our participants, it's important to acknowledge the limitations of our role.

Disclaimer:

Participant Responsibility: By participating in Walk and Talk activities, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to seek appropriate professional help and support for any mental health issues you may be experiencing. Walk and Talk volunteers are not trained mental health professionals, and our walks are not a substitute for professional therapy or medical treatment.

Assumption of Risk: Engaging in outdoor activities such as walking in nature carries inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, or encounters with wildlife. Walk and Talk volunteers will make reasonable efforts to ensure the safety of participants during walks, but we cannot guarantee a risk-free experience. By joining our walks, you assume all risks associated with outdoor activities and agree not to hold Walk and Talk or its volunteers liable for any injuries or accidents that may occur.

Confidentiality: While Walk and Talk promotes open and honest conversations about mental health, we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of discussions during our walks. Participants are encouraged to share only what they are comfortable with and to respect the privacy of others in the group.

Not a Professional Health Service: While Walk and Talk walks aim to provide therapeutic benefits through peer support and community connection, it's important to note that we are not a professional health service. Our walks are not a substitute for professional therapy or counseling. If you are in crisis or experiencing severe mental health symptoms, we strongly encourage you to seek immediate assistance from a qualified mental health professional or contact emergency services. Walk and Talk volunteers are here to offer support and understanding, but they are not trained mental health professionals.

By participating in Walk and Talk activities, you agree to abide by the terms of this disclaimer and understand that Walk and Talk and its volunteers are not liable for any consequences arising from your participation in our walks.
